If its company or organization are based on Spain, the suffix can be used .es. The name is registered by ES-NIC.

Two types of tariffs for the registry and maintenance of the dominions exist .es

• Dominions of second level (.es) 29 Euros annual + IVA
• Dominions of third level (.com.es/.net .es/.org .es/.gob.es/.edu .es) 12 Euros annual + IVA

• Any physical or legal person with interests or bonds with Spain must right to obtain the dominion.
• A dominion is assigned of automatic form if it is frees (except for .gob.es and .edu .es).

• The unique characters allowed for a dominion name are:
  • The pertaining ones to the English alphabet: from a to z.
  • The digits from the 0 to the 9
  • The script: - (It can be neither the first nor last character of the name).
• Special characters are not admitted such as accents, diéresis, the n, ç, spaces in target, the point, etc.
• There is no distinction between small letters and capital letters.
• The lengths principles and minims of a dominion name are:
  • For the dominions of second level, a 63 maximum of and a minimum of 3
  • For the dominions of third level, a 63 maximum of and a minimum of 2
• The list of prohibited terms includes a relation reduced and updated of terms of Internet whose use like dominion name, to the power to generate confusion, is prohibited.
• The lists of reserved terms, regarding names of dominion of second level that could not be object of free allocation, are three:
  • First, it grants the character of reserved to a relation of names of dominion regarding denominations of constitutional organs or other institutions of the State, as well as terms regarding the Real House that previously have not been assigned or that are vacant.
  • Second it grants the character of reserved to names of dominion regarding denominations of international and supranational organizations officially credited, who previously have not been registered or who are vacant.
  • Third it grants the character of reserved to an up-to-date relation of consisting of names of dominion place-names that agree with the official denomination of territorial public Administrations and that previously have not been assigned, or that is vacant. Also a list corresponding to place-names or gentilicios is included that appear in list ISO 3166-1 in their official versions and their translation the Castilian.
